Watching a lot of very good young racers at Knoxville this year has me thinking Knoxville is in good hands for the next 20 years even as guys like Dude, McCarl, and Brown retire or move on. So it got me thinking...who will be the top 15 drivers who make up the core of the WoO in 2020?

Schatz, Meyers, Saldana will be the graybeards.

Steve and Sammy will be getting their racing fix through Kraig and Kevin.

I think Lucas Wolfe will be back in PA after running the previous decade with WoO.

Sam Hafertepe will return to the tour full time when the old guys retire and be hanging around.

Cody Darrah or Kyle Larson... one will make it to NASCAR, one will run WoO.

I'm gonna say Brian Brown is running his own WoO team by then.

Since there are two young McCarl's that appear to have talent I'm going to say one of them is on tour.

Kerry or Ian Madsen will be on tour.

David Gravel, Sheldon Haudenschild, and two unknowns who are in middle school right now.

My wild card is Bill Balog.

My knowledge of the promising young stars in PA and CA is nothing so hopefully I learn some new names I can keep an ear out for in years to come.

Don't forget about Aaron Ott. Or Bobby Allen's grandson Logan Schuchart. He's only been running 358s but was fast from the start. It's only a matter of time before he is a top 410 driver. Kid is the real deal.

I'm gonna say James McFadden will have a ride in the US by then for sure. And i don't think it's beyond Brandon Wimmer once he lands a strong enough ride

It would be great to see Brown catch a ride again. He's had some good showings with the big boys lately.

Lets assume the funding is there on this since that is what it eventually comes down to

I like Kaley Gharst's moxie and ability as he matures he will be a force. I saw him beat lasoski at knoxville on a 1 lap restart at age 17 to get his first 410 win there.

Mark Dobmeier would have to be up there as well. He needs funding like most but given a FT gig he could adapt. He's a winner and u cant teach that

My darkhorse would be Channin Tankersley ive seen him run some gulf south shows in texas and he has car control.

More weight, more regulation, more similarity in the
cars.... that will ensure plenty of thrills for years
to come. Only the most average talent behind the
wheel will be needed with such awesome equipment on
the track!

Hafertepe without a doubt.

Hopefully Wolfgang.

I can't wait for Gravel to run for Rookie of the year.
