Thanks for the memories but where was Rick Martin?

San Jose has great memories for me. It is where I met the legendary Shawn McDonald, it was the one track that came the closest to me getting run over, not by a sprint car in the infield, but by Mrs. Beef Packers in the infield. I remember seeing Randy Tiner try to jump ahead of Sammy coming out of turn two at the start of a feature, climb his right rear and end up in the pits and I also remember Sammy's win streak of 6 or 7 broke there on maybe that same night. Most of all I remember the parties at the High Five Pizza AFTER the races, they were the best. Virtually every driver and crew, BK bartending and Grove Hill's video of that nights race on all the TV's, dang those were great days. Take It Easy.....

Was 1 of 4 cameras that night, the interaction between them gave a better perspective. I should choose My words better, so out of context.

I met Rick at my booth at the Knoxville Nationals back in the early 90's, great guy. He was in a white 44 and it was a beautiful car, he had a teammate at the time as well that I can't remember. Always loved the CA cars and always thought they had the best sprint car shirts in the country, hands down! Randy Frank was one of the best of all-time methinks, Take It Easy....
