This Friday, June 17 marks the 10th running of the Budweiser Sprint Car Shootout at US 36 Raceway just outside Cameron, MO. The event is sanctioned by the ASCS Midwest/Warrior regions. A Main payout will follow ASCS structure, but thanks to some local sponsors the heat races will pay $500 to win! Apple Market Grocery Stores, Bill's Camper Sales, Klein Motors, and Casey's General Stores have all made this event a little more interesting by sponsoring the $500 to win heat races. Another unique added bonus will be the proceeds from the 50/50 raffle going to the Hard Charger driver in the ASCS A Main.

US 36 has seen some incredible sprint car races over the past few years and this Friday should be no different when considering the talent that has been displayed in the ASCS ranks this year.

Awesome format. A promoter doing something different to attract fans and cars. I hope it is a success

I look forward to sprint cars at US 36 every year. Hope they have a great car count with the added bonus for the heat races.

Great place to watch what is generally a very good race, worth the trip from about anywhere. They will fly around this high banked bull ring, wish I could make it. Big props on the bonus bucks which should add a little sum sum to the heats, super job Mr. Promoter. Take It Easy....

I wonder if the road closures between Nebraska and Missouri will affect the car count. I see that Wayne Johnson and Brian Brown are #2 and #3 in ASCS Midwest points... It sounds like BB is going to Granite City. Will WJ make the trip? It will be fun to watch Brad Loyet and Jack Dover bounce around the high banks. $500 to win heats is a pretty good deal. Any Knoxville guys going to wander south? I'm thinking Russ Hall and Bronson Maschen (if he has a 360) will show up.

Saw a flyer for the race with pictures featuring Lasoski and McCarl so one would be lead to assume they are coming. Dover pulled one off last year I believe over Cornell there so he knows his way around.

I'm thinking TMAC will be in Rock Rapids. You never know where The Dude will show up. I've heard a few other guys were watching the weather. The weather looks pretty good.... 20% chance of rain. I think the car count will be pretty healthy. This is one of my favorite shows of the year.

Races at US36 are still on as of 10am. They got a little rain this morning but everything looks good for the rest of the day.

Brown has mentioned to me US36 is no where near the top his favorite tracks list. So no surprise to me he wasnt planning on goin. I'd doubt McCarl would show up, but you never know I guess. Seems like last year the field was a little slim at US36 but hopefully that was a fluke. Dover for sure.... Wonder about Wayne Johnson, Stu Snyder, Billy Alley, Jordan Boston, Grosenbacher, Danley, Lutz....... seems like those guys could show up from up north...

Brian Brown just announced on Facebook that he has changed his plans and he is now coming to US 36! Jack Dover also just confirmed his appearance at the track on Facebook as well. This is going to be quite the show ladies and gentlemen.

I was coming back to bite the bullet, saw that as well. Jordan Boston looks to be coming as well.

Johnson picks up the win. Thought Dover was gonna catch him there in lapped traffic at the end. BB didn't have much all night it seemed. The Dude finished around 10th. All in all pretty good race. Around 30 sprinters and a good crowd
