With the help of The Jimmie Johnson Foundation and Helmet For Hope we here in
Kansas could send around 20.
The Helmet For Hope program, which was
started in 2008, allows fans and media members across the country to nominate
their favorite charity to receive special recognition on Johnson’s race helmet
and receive a $10,000 grant. To date, the program has contributed close to
$200,000 to 37 different charities.
What a neat deal if Jimmie Johnson
could have 1/2 his helmet with Central Kansas Honor Flights and the other 1/2
with a Missouri Honor Flights organization. This would be just right for this
years fall Kansas NASCAR race.
