One of the questions I hear the most about people interested in getting into racing is where is the closest track located at? After scanning the internet, it seems most of the lists are either outdated or hard to come by. My plan is to create an up to date track directory, but I need your help to achieve this.

The directory is located here: www.TheRacingPit.com/tracks

On that page you will find a map of the country, click the individual state to see if a particular track is listed... if it's not, then please fill out the "Submit a Track" form located at the end of each page and I'll be sure to list it.

Thanks for your help, hopefully this will get more fans and potential racers out to the tracks.

There is a service out there already called National Speedway Directory which has been around for some time. Alan Brown has been doing this for a lot of years and offers a very nice book for $10 which lists all tracks as well as Sanctioning Bodies, Publications, Museums and race schedules. He is now offering it on the web as well as mobile. His website is www.speedwaysonline.com and lists United States and Canada. He makes it a point to update the listings each year when changes are made at a track and is very good at it.

Gotta agree with Dick - I bought my first Directory over 15 years ago. I replaced it in 2002 and used it when I drove cross-country to visit various tracks. I found the direction to the tracks in the directory very helpful.

I just looked at the website..pretty awesome!
