a few years ago some sprintcars had special paint jobs, like the Hulk. superman, james dean and popeye. These bodys were only used for about one week, Who paid for this and what happened to bodies and wings

Most of these one-off deals were put together with the teams and were paid for by the sponsor/sponsor's marketing group. It was done in an effort by the sponsor to reach new markets/fans.
I'm sure that the bodies/wings were then either given to the sponsor,, or someone close to the team, or sold at auction to raise money for charitable causes
