Well with just 1 week until the Eagle Nationals presented by TBJ Promotions and featuring the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Cars, one of the questions on a lot of minds is "Can Shane Stewart better his 2010 finishes at "America's Home Track" this year?". Last year's Friday night show saw him end up a disappointing 20th, but recover for a podium finish on Saturday.
He currently holds a 110 point margin over Johnny Herrera and 116 over Jeff Swindell in the 2011 points run, but it's still very early in the season. Can Shane hold off those 2 veteran pilots, or will another of the drivers who are following the national circuit step up and overtake all three of them??
Friday and Saturday, June 10th & 11th, will be the next step up the ladder that will carry one racer towards the crown of the 2011 Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car championship. The best of the best 360 sprinter drivers in the world will again invade the high banks of Eagle Raceway to take on a very fine lineup of locals on their home track. Familiar names such as Mike Boston, Chad Humston, Jack Dover and 2010 Eagle points champion John Klabunde will lead the charge against the interlopers.
Danny Wood captured the preliminary night feature at Eagle Raceway in 2010 with eventual points champion Jason Johnson taking first place on Saturday. Will one of the racers who compete in the weekly shows be able to outdrive the full-time drivers of the ASCS to capture the top prize, or will one of the regulars on the national tour emerge victorious again?
Eagle Raceway holds the reputation of being the fastest 1/3 mile dirt track in the WORLD, as well as being one of the finest facilities anywhere and is located at the junction of Highway 34 and Nebraska Highway 63; just 11 miles east of Lincoln on Highway 34, or a mere 11 miles south of exit 420 on I-80.
