Did the track ever get insurance for the drivers? During the pit meeting in April Ed said his insurance was about to expire and they were not going to renew it. Any update on this??

I was told the insurance issue has been resolved and the race is good to go. They will have to produce proof of insurance to us, (ASCS), before the race and I'm sure that won't be a problem.

Also, the $3000 to win at McCool Junction is ONLY IF THE WINNING DRIVER RACED AT I-80 THE PREVIOUS NIGHT, otherwise it will pay $1500 to win...CZ

Making the 1200 mile trek west to Omaha for the weekend. Will be at this show. Be nice to finally see sprint cars again, as it's been a while and having little to no time to head up to PA to see the posse play in its home turf. Hoping for a decent car count. See everyone next thursday at I80!

The ASCS home office in Tulsa, OK is working on it now. I know it has become a concern to our race teams after the announcement was made at our April double-header and I will keep everybody posted...CZ

I-80 Speedway does have insurance and proof of insurance HAS been provided to the ASCS National Office. All ASCS members are also covered by ASCS insurance. I believe what Ed was trying to get across at the pit meeting in April is that drivers should look into the STIDA policy which can be purchased for I believe $425 per year.
