Is the format going to change race to race. Qualifying one week ,pill draw the next week. No passing points.

Yes. Formats will change. We prefer to qualify. Some tracks due to curfews or promoter preference do not want qualifying. In those instances we will be using a pill draw.
We have been as accommodating as possible in order to secure dates to expose Sprint Cars to fans at some tracks without a Sprint Car tradition. If our preferred format has to change slightly to accommodate the desire of the promoter paying the purse in order to have a race - or even a viable series, we will do it within reason.
Sprint cars have not been desired by most promoters in our area for a number of years and for a number of reasons. In an attempt to change that attitude we will accommodate certain requests such as whether to qualify in order to build a reputation as a series that is easy to work with, professional, and a good return on the promoter's investment.
We have a similar position regarding our tire rule. Our default rule is a Hoosier. At some places like Burlington the promoter desired an open rule to help Iowa based cars that typically run Goodyear or American Racer. Some other tracks have a Goodyear contract. At those, we will follow the local rule in order to have a race. This position might prevent MOWA from securing a nice tire deal, but it helps in securing race dates... And that has been our focus in getting a brand new series off the ground.
We must crawl before we can run. Right now we are close to walking. Hopefully a good jog is in the not too distant future and then some of these track to track differences can be eliminated.
Our member drivers recently voted overwhelmingly for a straight progressive format instead of passing points. So that will be the format until or unless our drivers as a group vote otherwise.

Thank you for your response. Just seems to be a big advantage for the ones who draw well, and even a bigger disadvantage for the ones who draw poorly. Ten car heats, 8 laps. 2 to the dash, one or two more to the feature, the rest to the B mains. Line up how you finish then try to make it into the feature. Again starting at the back of the pack. With no passing points your night of racing has pretty much ended before you get started. Pit passes, fuel, tires, travel. All at the luck of a pill draw. ?
