No, then he would not be Posse. Similar to the Wolfe/Darrah situation. If he went out just for Dirt Cup then he would still be Posse.

When Shuman ran with USAC, or the outlaws he was still one of ours. The same with the rest of our boy's from this part of the wold. If they were born and and raised on our tracks, they were just out giving the "big boy's" a run for their money, but they always represented us and where they came from.

Doug Wolfgang could have run Ascot for two seasons and we'd have loved it, but he'd always be a outsider just like when he ran mostly in Penn and didn't fit in and drove ungodly hours to get out of there.

Doug insisted he not be called Posse, if my memory serves me correctly.

No Midwesterners either, that's the beginning of Ohio Speedweek.

Dirthawk your not helping yourself....when I talk about midwest guy's running Dirt Cup I'm speaking of McCarl, Brown, and others that race at Knoxville. They aren't going to Ohio. They have had at one point on their schedules of racing at Dirt Cup along with Shane Stewart who is from Oklahoma, but has a California owner.....interesting!! Their will be many who race at Dirt Cup and the whole swing for that matter, because they have a week of racing and some good money to be made. I will always be a California homer for 2 reasons......we run 410 wings(which are doing very well this year under new ownership) and 410 non-wings which Penn. does not have. I love the options and tracks. I will be at Santa Maria Speedway this next weekend for the KWS show and only have to drive 5 minutes to get there. Then USAC/CRA comes in early June andf AGAIN I get to see 410's, but without the wings. Doesn't get any better then that.
Trophy Cup......Best race of the year hands down!

And with good reason, but Weikert probably said he was Posse just like Heffner say's Pittman is.

One track I've missed is Calistoga, never been and I want to sit in those stands at least once.. Are you going to make the USAC/CRA, and Midget show there this year?

Yes Kenny I will be there! Went last yr and it's damn awesome. The atmosphere was 2nd to none. Heading probably up there for the King of the West show on Memorial Day wkd as well. Love going to Calistoga. Its like going into Knoxville for the simple fact that it's a small town and the track is smack dab in the middle of it and a 1/2 miler. Get there if you can IMO.

Not the same thing with Pittman, good try though. I've explained it 15 times now, just go ask him if you're still unsure. Bruce asked him this exact question last year at Nationals: Now that you have been in PA for more than 2 years now, do you feel more like a leader of the Posse? What do you think his answer was...

I'm glad 410 winged racing is doing better there, I follow it weekly. And I usually root for the CA locals at Nationals. However, I prefer 410 winged and I'm pretty content in the region that I live in for that.

Regardless of what you say/think, the battle at Williams Grove is Posse vs WoO and both sides labeled him as Posse. See you in July when Walker, Stevie or Henderson win...

I like bantering with you Dirthawk you have the makings of a good fisherman, patience plus perseverance..... Now if you think for one minute that when Walker wins it's not a feather in the cap for a Cali boy just out to beat the East coast boy's you weren't paying attention when you were over on this side. Are you saying that those conservative Pennsylvania fans have embraced the free spirited Walker as one of their own? HA! They threw beer can's at Wolfie when he beat Hoffman for crying out loud. They'll only embrace him long enough to use him when he beats a outlaw.

Last Summer Nationals there were 3 Posse starting in the top 10, and he started 11thish. He ran over 2 of the Posse drivers and I swear people were ready to behead him Smile

Could I have some Posse statistic's please?

How many....

Badger Midget Championships

Knoxville Nationals Winners

Kings Royal Winners

Ohio Speed Weeks Champions

Indiana Speed Weeks Champions

Lil 500 Winners

The CENTRAL PA fans never viewed Tim Shaffer as Posse. He is from WESTERN PA and is considered an ALL STAR. Just to keep things straight.

So Shaffer is from Pa and isn't Posse but Pittman is from Ok and is Posse. That doesn't seem very logical.....

Why does the rest of the world not follow the logic. If the car owner is from Pa and the team races the majority of their races in Pa, then the driver is Posse(while they are racing in Pa). As stated eariler Cody Darah and Lucas Wolfe are no longer Posse, they are now Outlaws. Pretty straight forward. Call us Central Pa fans crazy, but that is how the majority of the Pa fans look at it.

Tim Shaffer is from western PA, people. It's a big state. He also runs FAST/attica/fremont shows on his off weeks in Northern Ohio not in central PA. You have the greatest information gathering tool in the history of man-kind right at your finger tips. Use it, please.

List of ascoc champions: http://ascoc.allstarsprint.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=39&Itemid=71

One posse championship in 1980. Lee Osborne was from western PA so he wasn't posse.

Here's the King's Royal event history: http://www.eldoraspeedway.com/media/kroyaldriverhistory.pdf

You can find the rest on your own. But, someone asked about Indy cars also. One of the most recognized names in auto racing in this country is Andretti. Got his start right around posse country so, I guess they could claim him if they wanted to also.

This whole damn thing is silly.

i love it when tools like msu12 come on here and try to bash pa racing! its obvious you are not a true race fan and a arrogant somebody who tries to get under pa fans skin! some of you so called dirt fans need a reality check! like someone else said, i dont see any other guys far west traveling here for our big paying shows, so why would our guys waste there time traveling out west for 1 or 2 big shows! i give kudos to anyone who travels anywhere to race! you people amaze me on here! i have seen racing in other states, and enjoy it is much as i can! some of you tuff keyboard jockies need to get a life, shut up and go enjoy your local racing instead of crying/jabbering why so and so sucks etc!

While most Oklahoma race fans were disappointed that the World Of Outlaws race was cancelled Saturday night at the Salina Highbanks - Daryn Pittman was waiting for the announcement of the make up date: Tuesday May 3rd! The rescheduled event allows Daryn to bring his #27 Heffner Racing Enterprises car to the Salina High Banks on May 3rd. Car owner, Mike Heffner, is allowing Daryn and Sean to make the 19 hour trip south west so that Daryn has the opportunity to race close to home again. “I am so excited to return close to home to race in front of my family and friends. I have not been able to race in front of most of them since 2004. I need to thank Mike Heffner for allowing me to bring the team to Oklahoma. The team is based out of Allentown, PA so Oklahoma is not exactly close! This would not have been possible without help from Danny’s Auto Salvage, Hop & Sack Convenience Stores and BPG special thanks to them for coming on board to sponsor our trip,” says Daryn.
The reunion will also allow Daryn to team up with past crew chief Danny Foster. “Danny and I have been friends forever. He actually worked on my race car for about 10 years and we even went on the road together with the World of Outlaws in 2000. Danny has been away from the sport for a couple of years and it will be nice to work with him again at the track,” says Daryn.
“I am so happy I have the opportunity to come home and race close by. I hope all of the Oklahoma fans will stop by the trailer and say hello. It will be nice to have all of my friends and family there to support me,” says Daryn.
After the Salina Highbanks race on May 3rd the team will race the next two weekends will the World of Outlaws. Daryn will be returning to Eldora Speedway and wrapping up the mini tour at Williams Grove Speedway for the Morgan Cup and WOO shows. “The next few weeks are going to be exciting. I get to go home and then race Eldora with the Outlaws and then head back to defend our home turf when the Outlaws come in town,” says Daryn.
