Pittman Powers Posse Past World of Outlaws at Williams Grove
MECHANICSBURG, Pa. - May 13, 2011 - For weeks this showdown at Williams Grove Speedway featuring the nationally touring World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series taking on the Pennsylvania Posse has been brewing. It's fitting, then, that Daryn Pittman, a driver from Oklahoma who had been on the Outlaws circuit for years before becoming a regular in the Keystone State, captured the checkered flag on Friday night in the heart of Posse Country.
The win was Pittman's 30th World of Outlaws main event victory to go with six preliminary feature wins, tying him with fellow Oklahoma native Andy Hillenburg. It was also the first World of Outlaws victory for car owner Mike Heffner. "We won an Outlaw show at Williams Grove, and that's damn hard to do," Pittman said.
Then, as if he was attempting squash any debate before it might start, Heffner left no doubt whether or not Pittman qualifies as Posse.
"He's from Oklahoma, but I don't care if he's from Mars," an excited Heffner shouted to the crowd in Victory Lane. "This win was for Pennsylvanians. I am, so he's got to be!"

I posted that on the other thread and it silenced some haters, I'm sure this one will be no different.

Just because Heffner the car owner say's it's so don't make it true. What the hell, this is not FOX news.' And just because he say's "I am, so he's got to be!", don't make him his daddy either.
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

Unless you have evidence that Pittman doesn't want to be called Posse, I'm going to listen to his car owner and the WoO.
"Don't make him his daddy either" Why are you telling us this? Get on the phone and tell Mike that. Had Heffner come on the microphone and said this was an Outlaw win I'm sure you and 723 others would have agreed.

It's really very simple, it's a driver from Oklahoma win. Did you hear Pittman saying he's posse? No you didn't, but he did say ""We won an Outlaw show at Williams Grove, and that's damn hard to do," and that's true.
You say "Why are you telling us this?". Because the owner can't speak for Pittman, he's not his daddy!
I like the rivalry between the two groups and I like the track, but lets keep it real.
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

Dont have a dog in this hunt but I gotta believe if Saldana raced every week at the Grove with his team and equipment he would win the points and if Rahmer ran with the WoO full time he would win a few races and be in the top 5 in points....You could compare other drivers such as Meyers vs. Dewease and I would say the same thing....Smith 19...Hamilton 77...Weikert 29...Allen 1A... all great cars and drivers but Wolfgang in the 29 is the only PA car to dominate the Outlaws...There is no doubt PA is the toughest region by far but an Indiana boy, a Tennessee boy, and a South Dakota boy in my humble opinion have proven themselves to be the best to this point...

If he's not Posse then why do the Outlaws, the Posse's enemy, continue to list him as Posse?

WoO point leader Saldana has a hard enough time just making the show when he comes to PA. Points are the least of his worries, provisionals are usually what he is concerned about...

Yes. Joey is the only elite driver that struggles at the Grove. He pulled the #1 pill and still missed inversion by a lot. I don't remember the last time he started up front at the Grove.

A Pennsylvania owned sprint car, with a Oklahoma driver...Now that should be simple enough for anyone in the real world to understand.... I'll say it again! This is not FOX news, saying something over and over again doe's not make it true.

Half the drivers in PA hail from places unknown. That's why they come to the mecca. Been that way for 50 years, always will be.

Pittman has a PA address. Smith is more of a PA Posse Okie.
The Morgan Cup field will be comprised of the top five World of Outlaws finishers and the top five Williams Grove regulars from last year's National Open. The eligible drivers include WoO champion Jason Meyers, Jason Sides, Paul McMahan, Donny Schatz and Kraig Kinser. The Posse will be represented by Lance Dewease, Stevie Smith, Brian Montieth, Daryn Pittman and Greg Hodnett.
The winning team will take possession of the sterling silver cup for one year and it will be displayed in either the World of Outlaws North Carolina headquarters or the Williams Grove Speedway office.

Haters gonna hate.
I must have posted this example 23 times this week...
So when Brian Brown or Danny Lasoski win against the Outlaws at Knoxville, it doesn't count because they are from Missouri?
Some of you make me laugh. You have no ammo left, the Outlaws stated that Stevie, Walker and Pittman are all Posse. Give up...

what a dumb post. the local guys should win. the Penn. guys have good equipment and are pretty good drivers. Frickin' Pittman ain't even a "Pussy" guy or whatever you homers call it to begin wilth. There's a reason the World of Outlaws are the best and run all over the world. Have your "Pussy" dudes go out on tour with the Outlaws and see how quick they run back home to their porch. I'm sure Pittman would stay out on tour, but he ain't one of yours anyway dumbass.

Posse races twice as much as the Outlaws as it is. Just not enough days in the year. But when they do get a day off...

Answer this question...
Is Daryn Pittman a Pennsylvania regular? Please do some research before you post so you don't make a fool of yourself again.

I guess you just don't have enough home grown racers to make a statement on their own then... In essence that's what your saying when you adopt for instance Cali's Walker, who by the way doesn't quite fit the conservative mold of you Penn fans, but you still call him Posse. That's funny, very. I'm thinking the Cali Walker fans just look at it as one of theirs out seeing how he can do against those East coast drivers, and he'll come home when he's done.
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.
