Think about this: A small crowd, pit passes and grandstand tickets were sold - no refunds only rain check. No purse to pay out. Promoter Gage-Padjen made money tonight . They could have waited a little longer to get the show in. But canceled quickly. No rain all night since they cancelled. And is Chico really promoted by Gage? Looks to me you see that same staff when Padgen ran the show. Who's in the pit booth. Who's driving the quad around. Not Dennis Gage. Do you think they could have got the show in ?

This is one of my favorite races to attend every year...period. It was a big surprise how small the crowd was and and that we gained 10 cars over Friday nights race. Do I think they could of got the race in? Yeah I do, but on the other hand...It would of taken atleast 45min. to an hour to get the track ready for hot laps and by the time the heats would have been ready it could have easily been 9 o'clock or later and the races would been sub-par as it would have been a hooked up follow the lead track and they would of had to rush the show...thats if it didn't rain again. So as sad as it was to not see the great racing we all anticipated, I believe they made the right call.

How can a hooked up track be subpar? Thats the best racing.

The crowd was VERY small on Friday night as well. I think people are tired of watching the same gong show every week. As farmer said everyone knows who is running the show as usual.Someone talked to JA Friday night and he was disgusted at the one groove track during heat races as he started 6th and finished 6th as there was NO passing. He said they (as well as others) are tired of the one groove track and the pay is junk and thats why they don't tow up here...many of the drivers have had suggestions and yet the track is the same week after week.....sounds to me like the officials or the promoter and/or track prep crew just keep doing the same thing week after week and could care less what the DRIVERS and fans want to see....side by side racing. The score board did not work again this weekend...seems like it works for the first 5 minutes then that is it...is it really that hard to figure it out??
