This is a chance for all Racers to help support a true back bone person that helped change and build dirt track racing as we know..The more people like this that can be awarded can only help other great people we know to be awarded in there home states or on a national level..

Lets show them dirt track racing is still loved by all and help Don Edmunds get in ..

I think they already put AC Agajanian in afew years back..But very good to point out the other ones..

I have a story the owner of the California Sports hall of fame is a friends of mine ,,,,,,,,,,, he is Christian Okoye the Nigerian Nightmare that played for the KC Chiefs.,,he had never been to a Dirt Track Race..So we were together at Springfield Raceway in Springfield Mo. i was driving a B Mod,,I finished 3rd that night ,,my pit man said that Christian was yelling at the guys in front of me to get out of my way ,i had came from about 16th place to 3rd.. When i got out of the car Christian said it must be very agravating to have them slow guys in your way all then time how do you deal with it..

I told him he needed a ride in a Race Car ,,so i went to the Track Owner he had a 2 seater Modified that they gave rides in,,We put Christian in the extra seat.I told the driver Jerry Hoffamn track owner and a very good driver ,, if he is a Pro football Player give him the ride of his life. So he did.

Christian got out of the Race car after the ride ,he shook my hand and Jerrys hand that gave him the ride and he said i didnt realize the talent and control and patience it takes to drive one of these things..Sence then he has took an interest in racing and wants to show it by putting some race drivers in th Califorina Hall of fame,,,,,you should watch the video from the hall of fame link,,there are people in the hall like Reggie Jackson,,Tommy Lasorta,,Marcus Allen,just to name a few,,,,

,But the good thing about this is it just took only one ride in a Dirt Track Race Car for a Professional Football Player to change his thinking about what it takes to drive a Race car.And it changed his respect for the Sport of Auto Racing..Christian did say this,, he said you can die doing this sport ,,that makes it different somehow...
