Just read on another site that former Knoxville racer Wayne Redmond passed away from a four-wheeler accident over the weekend. My thoughts and prayers go out to Wayne's dad Stacy and the rest of his family. RIP Wayne

Wayne was a great racer and a great friend to all who knew him in the racing industry.

I will miss his smile and wit!

RIP Wayne

hey everyone this is abby redmond, waynes daughter. i just wanted to thank everyone for the support and messages. my dad loved racing and being involved with all of you.

the visitation is at laufesweiler funeral home on friday at 3pm till 8pm.
the funeral part is at first prespyterian church at 10:30 A.M. if you have any good stories with him, be ready to share, in his will he wrote THIS IS NOT GOING TO BE A SOBBING thing, it's going to be a party! So get ready!

after the funerall and everything a few weeks later we are having a party! he wants margaritas for everyone! doesn't care if you like them or not, just have one in memory!

i am making tshirts and bracelets in memory of my dad, my number is 515-571-3306, and my email is [email protected] email sizes if you want one, and if you want a bracelet. his work (aero race wheels) is making decals for cars, i was going to make them tell i found out two companies are making them, so let me know. i am trying to plan a memorial walk for my dad down in knoxville where we all take a lap or two on the track for him, a candle walk in memory.

LET ME KNOW who is all wanting shirts, bracelets, or who would be able to come to the walk IF i planned one.
my dad loved you guys, he loved everyone, if he went by one saying it was "live life every day to the fullest" so lets do it!!

we love you all, thanks for everything you ever did with my dad!

Hi Abby,, I am sooo very sorry to hear about your dad's passing,,, He always had a very special place in my heart as I used to hang out with him a little in his younger years at the race track in Mason City and then when he used to come up and race sprint car shows that I promoted in Owatonna, MN,, I had been known to drink a little beer with him!!LOL

One of my favorite memories of your dad was he was telling me about when he attempted,, and I mean attempted, to make the jump from sprint cars to a modified,, He got out of the car one night and proclaimed that "I have never felt more in control of spinning out in my life!!" I also always took a lot of pride in the fact that he would seek out my brother every year at the Lou Fegers swap meet to ask him what I had been up too... He was one hell of a man and someone to ALWAYS be proud of!!

Please let me know how I can get a decal in honour of him to display on our sprint car this year,,,

Thanks,

Brian Madsen
