No on the old race carsm but they brought plenty of cars in all the classes racing and plenty of wind which made the race track not real racy at all

Speaking of old school, I had my 55 chevy at the NSRA at OKC Fairgrounds this week-end and it was like a mini racer's reunion. I got to have long visits with Shane Carson, Randy Brotherton, Richard Harvey & his wife, Steve Scott and wife Cindy (Gene Scott's (#14 super) daughter, Danny York, Mike Taloff, Danny Jennings mom Carol, my son that helps Danny on Sprint car and John Ligon(ex flag man @ SFS) and most of us had cars at the show. Only one's that didn't were Shane (he rode his deceased brother Scott's cycle out) and Mike Taloff. Something about ex racers, hot rods and loud motors/exhaust.

I am convinced that is where the core of the 1960's-1970's crowds went-
To custom cars and bikes. Yet they do miss the old race cars.
They still have the money too.
