Id expect a few from Farmington and the surrounding area as well, probably nearing 40 entries. Hope they get the show in at Paducah but right now thats wishful thinking. Weather shaping up to be great for Saturday though...highs in the upper 50's with clearing skies as the day goes by...lows in the 40's. Should be a stellar night at I-55!!

Are you sure about Tatnell? Will he be in the 59?

Not sure what car Tatnell will be in but from what JG said he is expected to be there.

Do a google search on Brooke Tatnell and go to his website. It says that he will start the season at Paducah and Pevely in the 59 car. He will also run some races in a 19 car with help from Evernham and some 360 races in another car.

Would expect Jimmy Hurley, A.J. Bruns, Jordan Goldesberry, and Joey Moughan at Pevely. Other possibilities: Tom Dickerman? Kody Kinser? Danny Smith? Paul May? Last year Mark Dobmeier made the trip.

With Eagle already canceled for the weeknd, and the Outlaws other trip being during the 360 Nationals, hopefully Sat is a go, Id love to see the Outlaws at Pevely.

Johnny,
Jordan Goldesberry and Kody Kinser have been listed as coming on other websites. I would think that Hurley, Bruns, Joey Moughan are likely. Since Dobmeier was at Attica last week he may be there. Other possibilities might be Bronson Maeschen from Iowa, Brad Greer from Coulterville, IL, Mark Shirshekan from Farmington, MO, Ryan Kempin who races at Farmington, and Jeremy Standridge from Springfield, IL. I have no idea on Smith or May, but Smith usually races with the Outlaws at Pevely. I think Dickerman sold his sprint car. Also, Sam Hafertepe Jr. says on his website that he will be racing at Paducah and Pevely.

I think most of the Springfield boys will support the opening at Jacksonville, Il on Friday night

I agree, I was mostly thinking in terms of Pevely on Saturday for the Jacksonville and Farmington racers.

Ray Marler, the co-owner with Ken Schrader, of this track is a master of dirt track prep. He was formerly the co-promoter of St. Francois Country Raceway in Farmington before he got involved at I-55. They have big tractors and use the rotary tillers to work up the track. Often they will hot lap, qualify, and run the heat races followed by tearing up the track and repacking it. I have seen shows when it has rained in the evening and qualifications did not start until 10:30 pm. They will be hot lapping and running the modified heat races at 4 or 4:30 so once the hot laps for the Outlaws start around 6 pm the show will go quickly, unless they need to rework the track.

I agree, Ray Marler knows how to prep a track. I remember one year the July Outlaws show going into qualifications the track dried out so bad they were turning like 13's(which normally the Outlaws run low 10's..the track sealed over and was junk...after qualifications, they reworked the track and after that it was the best racing you could ever watch! Id see even up till about noon, if the rains slacks up enough to work the track, the show will go on. Im really not worried about it. The Paducah show, on the other hand, Id almost cancel now. Big rain is on the way for tomorrow there.

Jeremy Standridge has water pump problems, he will not race at Pevely. Hafertepe races with ASCS at I-30 on Friday, he probably chose to run where he could race on two nights. Any other updates?

Sucks weather had to be so bad...it was shaping up to be one stout field of cars for sure. Just hope the Outlaws and I-55 raceway can reschedule(how about May 29th??)

Just a thought - perhaps the parking lots were so wet that there was nowhere they could safely park cars for the fans that were expected to attend. While the track may have been saved for the racers, if there's nowhere for folks to park......
