It was cold but The Five in our group had a great time. There were only 5 Sprint Cars there tonight but it was still fun.

I generally Hate the Dwarf cars and IMCA Modifieds or whatever they call those things but I gotta say that both of them were worth the price of admission on their own. They raced hard and were entertaining tonight.

That stands were mroe then half full and everyone seemed to have a great time. The show ran well. Now we just need more sprint cars to show up on 4/23! I think the Televised NASCRAP race kept some fans away but all in all, I think it was worth the 200 mile round trip for me and $12!

It was oh so very cold at Victorville. Cowboy Joe described it well. I felt bad about the guy driving the #2 dwarf car. He was trying to make a pass for the lead when a backmarker spun and parked sideways in front of the leaders. The leader was parked for the night. The #2 car had to restart from the rear. He put on a show and finished second while gaining on the eventual winner. The show for the most part went off with out a hitch.

I wonder what kind of show the California Lightning Sprints would put on at VRP.

CLS would put on a great show there if they took the wings off! I hate the WING DINGS! Underpowered cars with WINGS REALLY SUCK!

Sorry Joe but I'm not going to sit out in the cold after driving 100 miles to see 5 360s and untold amounts of fendered junk.

Finish @ Victorville:

Austin Williams Winning, C. Williams, K. Perkins, J. Aden, Raymond Potter.

Cold night , of course, great track conditions.

Great show for drivers to get track time, (testing car set-ups, practice), if not running for points elsewhere on same date. Everyone made the Main. Several others, including myself, would have raced if not for physical/mechanical ailments,(blown engine).

April 23rd will be another race there. Check out Promoter's pit cost deal for that race, ( on this board) for a more affordable,( I use that term loosely),night of racing/testing for your team. And the night finishes early, with immediate pay-off, like the old days.

410/360 Owner/drivers, talk to eachother to pre-enter & come out on the 23rd for a less expensive, non-sanctioned Open Race. Also, you have a cheap, ($12.00 spectator ticket with SCRAfan bd. mention & free parking), spectator cost with early finish at the Freeway-close Victorville Raceway Park. Exit @ Roy Rogers, straight through the signal to the corner of the Fairgrounds.

Congrats to Austin for a flawless Main.

What he said! In addition, they ran the Sprint heats and mains first so all of the whiner fans (LOL) THAT want to get home early. The track prep looked awesome awesome from a fans perspective! I would also like to echo Cal's comment on coming out to get some track time. With the promoter listening to the comments on this board and car owners/drivers give this place a shot and bring your cars out. If you pre-enter you can get your car and crew out on the track for $25! You can't even do that at at the local amusement park in Corona! Hell, it even costs more to enter the Ercse Classic (although that's for a great cause and everyone that reads this board should do it at least once!)!
