"""""Guys like Donny Schatz and Terry McCarl listened to the grievances, discussed the option of separation, and realized that splitting ranks was a knee-jerk reaction. """""

Yep, they were going to go but it pretty well knee jerking and a chance at a championship and a chance at making sure he had one more year on tour.

Anyone else got an opinion on where Terry will fnish in the 2007 points? If he stays healthy. This year was not totally his fault.

Quote me at no better than 8th in points with 20 travelers.

You are forgetting that they would be able to compete against a watered down easier to win WoO with many of the top driver/teams leaving

If McCarl stays healthy I think he will finish in the top ten for sure. I agree w/ jackhole22 that the '06 season was not totally his fault, McCarl did an excellent job after recovering from his injury in such a short time.

I called Terry on the phone just before he got to Knoxville for his first visit in a skybox, approx. 2 weeks after the accident.

I told Terry that I had a spot right outside the front door, and a wheel chair ready for him.

Terry chose to park the furthest spot from the front door and walk in without the wheelchair.

Small wonder that he made such a quick recovery, he has the McCarl "attitude", sort of runs in the family.

Some might call it "bullheaded", but it worked.

"bullheaded" isnt exactly it, but a nice name for it. Should finish 7-10th in points.
