A pretty wild night at Victorville for the USAC/CRA feature. And also cold. Very, very cold. Still, the stands were close to filled and the fans seemed very into it. Anyone else deal with the mother of all fog banks on the way back over the hill last night. Even as someone who grew up near Fresno, that was bad.

Here's my article on the races.

I went South on Interstate-15 at about 9:00pm after the races. It was total white-out conditions going through the Pass. I've never driven through anything as bad as that!! Cars were either stopped or going about 5MPH for miles on end. No snow or rain but a little ice on the car windows. WOW!! What an experience! I hope everyone made through OK.

The racing was great! I congratulate Victorville promoters Steve & Jill Quercio for putting on a great night of racing. I give them best wishes for a full season of racing in 2011 at Victorville Raceway Park .

I went down through Cajon Pass at 7:30 in the morning and was amazed at how thick the fog was. Very little visibility. Tough to imagine going through that at night. glad you made it through.
