This is posted from Knoxville's website.....

"Tire Rule- Tire Rule 410 Class – The same right rear tire must be used for time trials, heat races and Afeature events. Any unapproved tire change between events will result in the car going to the rear of the next event. Cars competing in the B and C mains may use different tires. Cars transferring from the B main to the A main must use the tire they qualified on to keep their transfer position. Procedural rules regarding tire changes and other information will also be posted at all events. Right rear and left rear tires must bethe approved Goodyear tires."

What I am wondering about is the last sentence. What exactly are the "approved Goodyeat tires?" I am assuming they probably have a compound rule, but was wondering what it is, if anyone happens to know?

knoxville preapproves the goodyear tires and put their own stamp on them. i believe mccarl brought his own goodyears to a race last year and the tires didnt have the knoxville stamp of approval on them and he was awarded last place.
