The Tulsa Speedway had this prepubescent teens mind filled with horsepower in the late 60's-early 70's. In the small library at my elementary school there was a book that I had checked out numerous times that I have searched for several times in my later years. The book was about how to build a NASCAR stock car. It was very simplistic and I'm sure that it was written for young minds. The book was a step by step guide on building a race care starting with a new car from the dealership complete with photos and details. It was likely a book published in the early 1960's considering the state of racing technology that the book detailed. I have no idea what the title may have been but it helped me start a lifetime love of knuckle busting horsepower. Just throwing it out there in case it may be sitting on a shelf someplace. I would sure pay a more than fair price for it.
