The King of the West production crew has uploaded a new video featuring Grass Valley veteran Pat Harvey Jr. talking about the effects of a grinding crash during the Golden State 410 Series finale last year.

Harvey Jr. spent last season traveling up and down the highways of California and plans to do it once again with the King of the West Sprints in 2011.

The KWS season opens up in just over a month on April 9 at the Antioch Speedway in Antioch, California.

Thank heavens for the Pat Harveys of the world out there doing what they do and helping the sport along the way. You're not going to see them in the spotlight very often but these guys deserve their due for showing up and supporting tracks all over California in Harvey's case. Good piece.

Pat is a good man. He's been like a surrogate grandfather to me, and I'm glad to see him showcased like this, and to see him recognized for supporting this sport that we all love for as long as he has.
