Know those who are on the OKC council, know those who you will not be voting for on Tuesday, March 1st. Let your votes speak and make some noise.

That is an easy one. Everyone expect for Brain Walters voted to close it.

Meg Salyer is the Council person for Ward 6, which includes the State Fair Park. Ms. Salyer boast a pretty impressive resume. Being a native of Long Island, NY., she has only been in Oklahoma for 25 years, she was partly responsible in her vote to allow the race track at the Fairgrounds Speedway to be demolished. If Ms. Salyer had grown up here maybe she would have a different outlook.
I have no ill will against Ms. Salyer, but I do feel she was swayed by other Council members and our Mayor.
I understand growth and development, I deal with that on a daily basis in OKC. But I'm having a hard time with people taking away Oklahoma City's History.
It of course is too late to save our Race Track as it is gone. But we can vote on the new Council election to preseve Oklahoma City.
Maybe with your vote, we can rebuild the track.

Uncle, from my understanding her money comes from her and her husband owning property down in automobile alley in Downtown. So of course she would be in favor of MAPS 3.
Maybe I should have ran for the council. My competition would have been White. Shoot you drive down the street outside my house and you will loose your entire front end b/c of the potholes. I thought about sending the bill for my new shocks for my truck to the city council to see if they would pay for it.

Erich, it should not matter where the City Council Members, or the Mayor gets his or her monies, what should matter is how they represent their district/ward. Ms. Salyer never attened a ORA (Oklahoma Racing Association) meeting, so how does she know what was good or not good for the Ward 6 she represents.
She most likely lives in Edmond, Ok. like our OKC Mayor. Maybe Big Mick now lives in Okc City Limits since his wife kicked him out of their Edmond home!
Just saying how can you serve as an elected official in one community (city) and live in another.

Uncle I agree with you. Do not preach all knowing untill you have lived it.
