How many races will be lost again to these GoodYear brand of tires? My guess LOTS. Hoosiers look so much better on the car and you can drive with confidence on HOOSIERS

This Hoosier cost Brian Brown the win at 81 Speedway last fall...he lead most of the feature until this tire went down and dropped out.....it happens in both brands no matter what you think.

Look at the track - probably needed a D100.

I totally disagree. Have never seen so many tires just blow to small pieces as the GoodYear Brand. Now Ive seen them get shreaded, go down etc, but to just plain blow up into bits and several pieces. SCARY

yet it seems it never blew. lets hope goodyear has addressed what ever it was that was causing the problems teams were having with the tires.

I totally disagree. It's pretty evident you have not been around sprint car racing that long. Hoosiers blew out just as much as Goodyear if not worse than Goodyear. But I am sure you will be telling me about your 50 years of racing history.

IB dont try and use logic with haters. It is Goodyears fault...even if a Hoosier goes flat. That was sarcasm. Anyone remember NARC...they had a rule you could run Hoosier or McCreary(American Racer)? Most of the people ran McCrearys...in fact most of em said the Hoosiers sucked. haha Times change I guess

I watched 3 Hoosier left rears explode entering turn 3 at the Grove in the National Open 2 years ago. Tell me again why they are so much better than the Goodyears? From what I saw last year the racing was way better than the years of the Hoosier tire rule.

Just how long ago are you talking about when you mention NARC? That has been quite a few years. Hoosier came a long way in their tire design since then. So far in fact that when the WoO could run any tire they wanted, they chose Hoosier almost exclusively. So remember that when you try to tell someone what tire teams choose when they have a choice.
From what i have heard, the outlaw guys were not that happy with the goodyears.

I guess that is why I said times change? Or did you skip that part?

I saw the same thing, Montieth, Leppo, and I forget the third. Montieth was 2nd and Leppo 4th or 5th when it happened too. Not really defending or siding with anyone here, but I thought there were a lot less "rubber down, bottom lane tracks" with the Goodyear formula vs. the Hoosier.

That's the problem with some of the races. Rubber down high speed, no passing racing !!!! Hard to get people to come back when they don't see good racing. Just my thoughts.
