JJ Yeley just raced his way into the 500 in the first 125 qualifier that ended a few minutes ago.
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

Terriffic job by J. J. Chances of him making the race were about 1 in 100. Let's hope they get that car dialed in for the race. We know he can do it if he has a decent car. Obviously they are operating on a shoestring budget, but just starting the 500 pays around $250,000, which should be a big boost for that team. Hope Red Line steps up the sponsorship to a full primary program. Go J. J.
If any of you guys have time, let's E-mail Red Line and light a little fire uder them!

Actually I think his chances were about 1 in 4... but good job - glad he made it.

Congrats to JJ and the other "open wheel drivers" in this year's Daytona 500. I count six solid ones: Smoke, Jeff Gordon, Ryan Newman, Kasey Kahne, Dave Blaney & JJ with at least a partial nod for Carl Edwards and Robby Gordon.

Could have swore it was the 150 qualifier he raced yesterday.
I don't aim to please.
I aim to hit the target.

After watching a little bit of Daytona speedweeks (on TV), including the qualifiers, I am thanking the racing gods for sprint cars. What napcar has done to the Daytona 500 is a crying shame. Changing the restrictor plates in the middle of the week, gearing limitations, and now PRV's with a mandatory relief setting?? I'm baffled, I have a feeling that this 500 is going to be scary.
Please, somebody get me to a dirt track!!

After over 20 years of the plate insanity, they are still able to find more ways to make it even worse. I don't know what is worse the nonsense on the track or hearing that Dale Sr was concerned about safety! Anything remotely truthful or real is completely void now at what was once the world center of speed. I am just amazed that people actually think it is worth paying money to see.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?
