Is anyone else having any issues as of late on here? I noticed in the last month or so there was spam posting going on and ever since then my Virus alert has popped up like 3 times when I come here? I don't seem to have any problems on other sites. Just curious?

I haven't had any virus warnings - and my computer has a scan every morning about 4am. But I have indeed noticed spam threads being posted. When I see them (usually late at night) I report the thread and they're gone/deleted by the morning -- but it seems it's only from a couple of relatively new accounts that as of last night were still active... Seems like they would get a perm-ban or something like that...??

Windows 7, IE 8 and no antivirus, just a periodic online scan and never a single issue.
That said, I paid to be a Power User (no longer offered) about 6 years ago so I don't see any ads either.

i have had several issues with rogue anti-virus programs downloading from here. those are programs that download and say they have found virus on your computer and want you to pay to have them removed. the rogue IS the virus. it is fake, but it screws up your computer. since i installed malwarebytes anti-malware and paid for the active protection it has stopped several attempts of the rogue virus. one was just last week. it definitely comes from this site, mostly when i sign in. i have had others tell me they have had similar stuff happen.

norton IS a virus! i installed it once and took it to a folder that i knew was infected and did a search and it found nothing. norton and mcafee are two anti-virus programs i have stayed away from after using both for a short time. they take up too much room and slow down your computer too much. plus everyone who hacks or invents virus is trying to beat both those programs

I just realized I haven't had any problems @ work, just @ home. My home computer is only a few months old with new antivirus applications. That makes sense now that I think about it because I had a few "pop-ups" last night wanting me to renew my subscription. I'll quit worrying about it. Thanks

Just found a REAL weird one - In the big time sprint drivers to NASCAR thread - from the HH forum front page - the go to last post icon points to a different and very weird URL - absolutenostro or something like that .... not the last post of the thread.
