tjslideways.com has a link to the news article.

Scott Seaton was killed last night during an AVSS show at Auto City Speedway near Flint, MI. Apparantly he hit the wall head on and the car exploded after his throttle stuck.

I haven't seen anything official on this accident until just now. However, I have been told by a relative of one of the other competitors that it sadly was fatal.

Does anybody know the website for AVSS as I can't find a working one?

Rest in peace Scott.

This sport asks for a very high price from it's fans and competitors at times.

Scott always had a fun time and wanted everyone around him to enjoy life just as much, what a positive guy, no matter the results. I'll never foget unloading his sprinter one afternoon at my place in MI and taking a bunch of pics in my yard and having the neighbor kids have the time of their lives climbing in and out. Scott may have not won many features but an old hockey fight analogy comes to mind, 'It's not how many you win or lose, it's how many you show up for'. RIP ol' buddy, Take It Easy.....

I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Scott, but my sympathies go out to his family and friends.

I'll never get used to this.
