Any of you bozos I saw at Trophy Cup should think about the ASCS at Hanford on Feb. 12. A bunch of those shoes you saw, TK, Bud, Kyle, Tommy, Allard et al will probably show up. Hanford is a great track and Woodhouse, the promotor is doing a good job.
This means you Rob as well as Bob and Dave. Would like to see the Golden Tonsils of Scott D show up. A chance to get some early season methanol in the old lungs.

I'll be at both ASCS National shows. Thunderbowl on Wednesday, and Kings on Saturday. See you there Dave.

considering the fact that Calif. sprint car racing is so screwed up with 48 different sets of rules and regulations I think I'll take up Ballet or fishing.

No! Garage door racing is like watching paint dry.

Tell me, is ignorance truly bliss? I figure your the expert. FYI its not 1950 anymore, nobodys using Firestone jalonie tires, racing in t-shirts, a lap belt and a shoulder high rollbar.
The ASCS races at the Thunderbowl Raceway and Kings Speedway will be some of the best racing of the year. For all the xenophobes who choose to drink prune juice and watch reruns of Matlock instead of 50 plus sprint cars in February...I pity you.
Cheers!

Get your ass up here Rob, you know what kind of show these guys put on at Thunderbowl/Kings. Ain't no California rules bs going down for this deal. Even Ray Ray is leaving the porch. Put that retirement to good use. It's not like there's any racing down there next week.

Those ASCS things are not sprint cars! Real sprint cars don't have garage doors on top! I don't have enough no-doze to try and watch that junk. There won't be much racing going on at Hanford or Tulare, just a bunch of parade laps.

Let me know if you decide to go to Kings. We have a group of seven in the turn 4 bleachers. I'll give you section/row/seat numbers and you can sit up top with us.

Looks to me as if ASCS will soon have most of Cal. under one set of rules. If you want to see 410's in the future you will have to head up north for the Golden State King of the West series. KOTW put on the best shows I saw last year, with the exception of the Trophy Cup, which happens to be the most exciting show I have seen in years. The Cotton Classic at Hanford with the 410,s was the second best show. I am hoping to get up north for a Civil War show this year as they usually have good car counts and great shows. The Civil War series has been taken over by the promotor of Chico and Placerville, Handy, and the series is now an ASCS series. Up untill last year Handy ran the Golden State Challenge series. The GSC is now run by Dan Simpson and renamed King of The West. Simpson has increased purses, tow money and I think point fund and it looks to me like Handy's it will be a success.
Handy,s Civil war series is on Hoosiers, while the KIOW will be on Goodyears, the same as The Outlaws. Handy had a KOTW show set for Placerville but has cancelled it. Could this be a tire war?
Added bonus for the KOTW, Dean Mills is now aboard as official videographer and plans a reality show about sprint cars.

That reality show about King of the West Series is supposedly going to be called "Win It or Wear It". Fantastic news for the west coast racing scene.
I will see you over in Hanford for sure Dave and who knows I may just show up in Tulare too. Thunderbowl is the best winged sprint car track on the entire west coast in my humble opinion.
If anybody cant make it up to the races those nights they should tune in on Versus television network as they will be filming for a later national broadcast.
The events from Thunderbowl Raceway, Kings Speedway and USA Raceway will be aired as follows; Thunderbowl Raceway (Feb. 9) – 4/16/11 @ 6:00 p.m. ET Kings Speedway (Feb. 12) – 4/23/11 @ 6:00 p.m. ET USA Raceway (Feb. 18) – 5/1/11 @ 6:00 p.m. ET USA Raceway (Feb. 19) – 5/14/11 @ 6:00 p.m. ET
"Winged or non-winged its all about
the sprint cars for me!"

how can you say there wont be alot of racing at kings or tulare? tulare is one of the most action on the track, tracks! They are two different tracks that put on some of the best races. Im a true fan, i dont care if they are wings non wings or 360,410. I even head to plaza park on friday's to watch the micro 600's. people gripe on here because theres not enough this or not enough that.. just be glad that we have the sport around where we still have it. 360's are MORE THAN likely taking over california so pretty soon we WONT have a choice. be glad we have the tracks we have and go watch some races...
Have a good day.
SEE U IN TULARE AND KINGS!
Pushin the cushin!

Hope to see you there Rob, should be great racing.
Hey Rob Dan Simpson has taken over GSC and we are now KSW (Golden State King of the West). Dan is doing everything and anything he possibly can to bring a great traveling series to as many tracks as will have us. He has an office for KWS in Rio Vista, staffed by Gary Thomas, George Hague and Dean Mills. Please check the website weekly for updates and information regarding the series. kingofthewestsprintcarseries.com We are pretty much running the same rules as the WoO. double file restarts and all. Dan has a great incentive program for the drivers, we'll have a trailer selling all the racers shirts, hats etc. Working Woodie will be traveling with us and be our push vehicle. We will have a larger than ever points fund as well as over $100,000 in contingencies so far with more coming. Dan is paying through the B which most other series have stopped as well as $5000 to win and $500 to start the A. He is all for the racer and truely loves sprint car racing. I think he is to be commended for all he has taken on and trying to make our series "the best". Come on out and watch some really exciting racing, the likes of Jonathan Allard, TK, Andy Gregg, Jason Statler, Brad Furr, BK, Evan and hopefully a total of 30 great drivers ready to give the fans an awesome show every night we run. First points race will be April 9th. at Antioch Speedway. Hope you can make some of them Rob, its always nice to see you and talk to you.
