Bobby Gerould to announce all major events at Groppetti Automotive Thunderbowl Raceway & Giant Chevrolet Kings Speedway in 2011
By Gary Thomas
Tulare, CA – February 3, 2011…Veteran racing announcer and media member Bobby Gerould has signed on to announce all major events at the Groppetti Automotive Thunderbowl Raceway and Giant Chevrolet Kings Speedway this season.
The 2011 year at both facilities kicks off next week with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Sprint Car Series making its inaugural appearance in the State of California. On Wednesday February 9 the tour will be in action at the Tulare Thunderbowl, before heading to Kings Speedway on Saturday February 12.
Gerould has long been one of the top announcers in sprint car racing across the country and is also the play-by-play announcer for the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series on SPEED. His father Gary is also a legendary broadcaster that has been the radio play-by-play announcer for a number of years with the Sacramento Kings and also does reporting for the National Hot Rod Association on ESPN.
“We’re happy to have Bobby on board at both Tulare and Hanford this year, as his knowledge of the sport makes for a great show and that’s what we pride ourselves on down here,” said Thunderbowl Raceway’s Don Sharp. “It’s pretty exciting as well to open the season with the ASCS National Sprints next week and then have the Outlaws here in March.”
Tickets are currently on sale for both the Lucas Oil ASCS National Series and the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series events in Tulare and Hanford. To purchase tickets at the Groppetti Automotive Thunderbowl Raceway contact (559) 688-0909 and for tickets to the Giant Chevrolet Kings Speedway please call (559) 584-7223.

It has also been confirmed that "Outback" Andy Foster, who previously announced at Altamont Raceway Park from 2006-2008 and at Marysville Raceway Park from 2009-2010, will be working at both tracks on a full-time basis. Having worked with both announcers, I can say that is a pretty awesome announcing crew and the fans at these tracks are in for a treat!

Hey Andy, if you haven't worked with Bobby before, be prepared to be amazed. You will be learning from the master.
I live in Tracy and have heard your work and think you two will be a awsome team. Good luck to you both.

YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING???? NO WAY! What happened to Troy Henning working with Bobby Gerould at Tulare? Or even Gary Thomas with Bobby would be a good combo. Hope Gary is still doing Ocean Taco Bravo 360 this year, enjoyed him the few times we went to Ocean.

Not true that Troy is not working the Trophy Cup. It will be Troy & Bobby as usual.
