Every track in the state will be using USRA modified rules except Lawton and Enid. Rules are on the USRA website (www.usraracing.com).
If you do not purchase USRA license it will cost you $20 per nigth to race. When you purchase your USRA license you will receive $50,000.00 in accident insurance. For $42.00 more it can be raised to $100,000.00. For $80.00 it will go to $200,000.00. This insurance is good at any USRA sanctioned race track.
Southern sport mod rules are exactly like Ada and Meeker have run for the past three years and will be used at Creek, Ada, Ardmore and Meeker. The changes are not on the USRA website as of yet. When posted they will all read exactly the same. If you have any questions call one of the promoters as any of them can answer your questions.
Track points champion at a USRA track will receive $1500.00. National champion will receive $10,000.00. You will be able to race two nights a week if you desire.
This year the top twenty nights used for points in track points and national points.
Sorry but if you do not like USRA rules you are going to be racing close to out of state.

From what i can see there is a pretty big difference in rules from OPS and Brill on Sport Mods. Brill allowes roller rockers and quick change rear along with a few other small things.

I talked with USRA about four weeks ago and from the way they talked they were going to allow the CT350 - 602 crate motor, wondering if this was true.

I talked to the tech guy at usra today and he informed me that the rules are going to closely resemble IMCA southern sportmod rules and they should be posted on the website soon.

List of all the USRA tracks in the country.

I believe you are correct on Elk and Clinton.

what tire is sport mods going to be able to run? The AR 500 that american racer makes. which is a soft 500 tire like from hoosier. That we was not allowed to run anywhere around here, but at texas motor speedway we could.

So in other words, this class will be a low horsed modified by the end of the year. Brilliant. Once they start allowing Bert type trannys it will be very closely followed with suspension changes to compensate for lack of traction with the extra HP you get from a 9" ford and direct drive tranny. ----motor changes to follow because then everybody will bitch they are underpowered. Leave the damn rules alone and don't kill the class!! IMCA needs to go back to last years rules and freeze them as well. We are going to end up with a modified in a few years and it will dwindle in numbers the same as the mods are now.

your absolutely right greg....

they are letting this class get out of control, there is only one reason why it has been successful and that is because it was an affordable class to run. They should have frozen the rules 3 years ago but its on its way to gutting itself now...

Fact: Ada, Meeker, Creek and Ardmore are utilizing the same rules

Fact: No, there will NOT be Bert or Brinn transmissions in a sport mod at any track

Second post on this topic and it says that the usra rules will follow brill and Ada so, are they not going to allow the brill cars and make them change thier stuff back if brill is one of the tracks they are basing the rules on, probably not. Everything I have read and understand is from this topic and it sounds like that's the way they are heading.

From what Trevor Rash told me when I talked to him it is going to be up to the track promoters to allow their track rules from last year to be used or not, BUT if any car is not USRA legal then they do not qualify for national points. I do not remember what he said exactly about the tire rule but I think he said that we could run the hoosiers that we have to phase them out but we will have to run the AR500 for the national points.

you better buy ar 500 from the start then. because you will not keep up with the cars that has them. they are just like the hoosier 500 that is soft.
