The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series has named Kyle Luetters as its PR Coordinator effective Jan. 24, 2011. Luetters, a Kansas native who graduated from Cameron University in Lawton, Okla. produced the documentary "One Draem: Dirt Track Racing" and joins the World of Outlaws from Townsquare Media in Lawton. Luetters will issue pre- and post-race reports, occasional features, produce multimedia projects and handle Website updates at http://www.worldofoutlaws.com .
Luetters can e-mailed at [email protected]

He's got some BIG shoes to fill after Tony V.
And let's hope he isn't the one that wrote that advisory ... since "Dream" is misspelled...

Nope ... neither did our mutual friend. Chris Dolack is still around at WRG though ... and he molded/mentored Tony V into one helluva PR guy so hopefully he can do the same with this one.

Gee, tough crowd...at least give the guy a chance before you start to tar and feather him!
I'll bet that other than on here, he's probably never heard of you guys, too!

Where did we say we were bashing him? Just mentioned nobody ever heard of him and he done nothing racing oriented in the state of Oklahoma or myself, Phil or at least the other person Phil mentioned would have heard from him. Just stating facts, not tar and feather.
Good luck too him whowever he is, he has big shoes to fill to make the people in the sprint car world happy.

Actually I "yahoood" him which confirmed to me that I have never heard of the guy, which is why I asked Phil if he has to which he applied "no." But like I said, good luck too him and best wishes.

My bad on the "draem". I'll blame my short, fat fingers. It was originally spelled correctly. I'll get a new spell checker later..........................

Is this guy in charge of scheduling for the WoO? If so, I sure hope he can do a better job than the moron who did it before because their schedule this year is ALL JACKED UP. They just announced a date at Delta Bowl Speedway in Tunica, Mississippi for the 30th of May(which is the monday of memorial day weekend)...they race in Charlotte on the 27th but have no races for the dates of the 28th and 29th...if they do not intend to fill those dates on the 28th and the 29th, why the hell would you schedule that race on the 30th?? Very stupid!!

Tony was a real pleasure to work with and I think we're still reeling from his dismissal. I'm not looking forward to starting from square one gaining access to World of Outlaws races. This racing media gig is enough work as it is without having to jump through even more hoops. I hope we don't go back to the situation we had with them before Tony joined the Outlaws.

I dealt with Kyle when I interviewed him and his class for a story on the movie they did about sprint car racing. The movie was subsequently shown at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame during Knoxville Nationals week two years ago. I came away very impressed with his professionalism and knowledge of the sport. (Of course, I flaked and didn't wind up doing anything on the movie, because I'm an idiot sometimes.)
Obviously, Tony was great to work with and extremely helpful - if I needed to track down Jason Meyers on a tight deadline for a story, Tony was always willing to help out. But let's give Kyle a chance to prove himself before anyone starts casting any judgments about his abilities.
