I would say I was friends with Rick Dunsworth from Hutchinson. But why can't I remember this in 1979. This is Rick Dusworth in Kenny McCoys super. In 1979 Henry Ellington was still racing and he drove this car back in the early 70's and late 60's. I don't remember this at all and I'm dumb founded! I was even taking photos in 1979 and I don't remember this car on the track. I do remember Charlie Pitts returning after being retired several years in this race.

The story I was told is Jimmy Ellington and Joe Mitner put a motor in it and took it to the Hutch Nats. They both took turns driving it, it was so slow they Black Flaged them but they would not get off the track .They said it cost them $17.00 so they were going to get there moneys worth. They had to get out on the race track to get them off. Rick Dunsworth told me he drove it also, but he may have drove it at Mohawk Raceway. Dwane

Maybe I just wiped it from my memory. Rick had a orange or red helmet in that era. They should have painted the car gold and put a #36 on it. Henry was still racing in 1979. He finished 2nd and won the c feature during the fair races in Sept.
I wonder if 79 was Henry's last racing season? I don't remember.
