Information from the best web sites on the internet for all of Kansas racing.Nobody does it like Bob Lawrence does it http://winfield.50megs.com/Hutch_Nationals/Fair/13Sep1975.htm
I remember this race. It could have been the only steel body car there. There could have been two others. I was taking photos in 75. I have lost any of the 1975 photos from any tracks. I guess they were all in one box and that box never showed up anywhere. I also had a box of nothing but negatives and they have been lost also.
The following day was rained out so who knows where the 55 might have finished.

Yes this was the last time Kenny and Pat took the 55 car to the race track. Kenny, Gene, Warren Weber, and myself where pitting the car. First time Marvin had ever sat in that car. In the heat race lets just say Marvin was used to the stock cars with fenders. He got a little close and hopped wheels with another car. Had this not happened I think he would have finished much better and had a better starting spot for the feature. It seems like Kenny lost interest after the fire of the 74 nationals. He then directed all of his attention to the tractor pulling. And man did he ever make the tractor fly !!! >>>>.
