Just for you Brian and the rest of us old-timers. This is quite a treat for us that don't get to go. If you like this KCCheese has over 400 videos on YouTube check them out. This is not the only Chili Bowl Video he made and posted check them out. VERY VERY entertaining and well done.

Been to 25 of them and it was dam good racing all week, but Wed. and Sat. finishes , you can't even write a script in a movie to match those 2 finishes. Classis stuff.
Good to see Mr. Pogue and several other world famous midwest racers and VIP's in his booth at the trade show.
Also good to get to talk to C Ray Hall on Thurs. for a while and can tell you the guy gets it in today's promoting and told him and Warren Hardy so. Still felt that racetrack atmosphere when entering 81 Speedway back in Oct. and how they have the place as good as any around ,the concessions with the smell of popcorn and concession stand food and the covered areas to eat under before the races and the local radio station playing music over the loud speakers and the bar with all the pics all over the wall and the one price ticket price.
Hope there new E Sprint class takes off and is a success, hope to make several trips up north this season and see several Sprint Shows at 81.
Just wondering where anymore people can cram into the Expo on Sat. night, seemed just about every nook and cranny was filled from about 5/6pm on till the finale of the A main Sat. night.
The race is of Iconic status now, famous folks/VIP's attend as well as racers from the past , present in all classes, just look around all week and ya can see'em all. It is just an amazing/unique deal that has been created , nothing else like it.

Isn't the whole eastside (turns 1 & 2) empty of seats. Maybe there isn't room for seats there. Tim McCreadie went out there last year or the year before. It looked like there was room for some more stands.

Warren, I bet insurance co. won't let them fill those spots, they have those scaffalding stuff for some of the sponsors up against the wall in Turn 1 , but i bet they are just far enough away in feet for that to be allowed to be there by the Ins. Co., I see this year they had to put Panels up on the ends and back of the bleachers and I bet that was to satisfy insurance folks, bet it gets tougher and tougher each year to keep those folks happy for that event.
Just about at their limit in seating capacity , unless they could build some type of portable Nascar style portable fencing to keep the cars in the track area ,then I bet the Ins. Co. would let them fill in those empty spots in turn 1 , Turn 2 has little room to expand.
I still wonder if a Midget is ever going to get up in the stands coming off of Turn 4 , they toss good size pieces of cushion up in the stands and tend to nail spectators and cause injuries in recent years, with the speed these guys are carrying and momentum they have coming off 4 now , seems to me there needs to be more requirement of fencing in that area.
