While it’s actually not until this Friday, January 14, I would like to take this opportunity to wish an outstanding racer, a great guy, and my obvious boyhood hero a happy 83rd birthday!

I seriously doubt Jerry himself will see this post, but perhaps a good friend of his will and will pass it along.

You still have a lot of fans, Jerry, and I am sure they, like me, hope that you are doing well and that your birthday finds you surrounded by family and friends.

Thanks for the memories!

Jerry drove this car at a USAC midget show at Knoxville on 6-19-1969

Jerry's supermodified. Knoxville. 7-12-1969

Knoxville - 8-9-1969

Iowa State Fair. 8-23-1969

Des Moines, IA. 6-7-1970

Cliff Blundy's car. Des Moines. 6-7-1970

Jerry and Marge's son, Cliff. Knoxville. 6-13-1970. Cliff didn't race nearly as long as I would have liked watching him do so.

Thanks again for the memories Jerry! I still miss you and Marge at the racetrack.

Kirby,

Are you from IA? (I won't name the small city) and were you at Knoxville this past year?

If so, I stopped down in the pits and talked to you for a while after the program that night and told you how great it was to still see this car out on the track.

Thanks for responding.

Wow ..... Look at the apparent size of that crowd ......the uncovered seats to the right look like they're packed and look like they are tall (number of rows.)

Great nostalgia on a bitter cold Iowa night.

Thanks
