We did good on the last frame iding. But we had some more info to go on. My hope is for someone viewing the site to remember maybe taking the frame to the salvage yard. That could be a piece of the puzzle. Surely someone might remember this frame and the different welds and especially the person that might have taken it to the salvage yard.

This is a sprint car frame

What we have now. This from Ron Cubic out in Ohio :

I have a frame that I am trying to identify. From what I know, it was purchased at a salvage yard in Wichita some time ago and appears to be built by Nance probably around 1973 ish. The cage is welded on and some parts of it and the areas of the frame still have the beautiful welds that Nance cars were noted for. Some of the frame has been seriously altered. As seen, someone removed the rear torsion tubes. The cage has had side bars at one time but are cut off. Just wondering if anyone has any info they can share about it." Thanks, Ron

I have made a big error discribing some of this frame.I have just found out through Ken Murphree who has a similar car that the frame indeed was never shortened or changed. I'm very suprised, but very happy to find that out.It just looked so small but thats how it was designed. Thanks for clearing that up for me Ken!

Would anyone on the board have any photos of the early 1971-75 Nance chassis cars they can post?
