excellent midget schedule...fall classic, ventura fair, and the all coast races!

side note: i have been putting together my schedule for next year and i've noticed that the promoters did an excellent job of not overlapping shows. looks like it's gonna be a good year...

Also no Wagsdash. This is sad that their is no time to run the most fan friendly event on the schedule.

At least they arent scheduled against every 410 race at perris this season. My schedule this season features Perris a lot more often than the last five.

Bitching at a track that runs one show tops a year...

Wheres the pacific coast nationals on the national schedule?

What about the early season national sprint / midget show?

Where did those races go?

All the dates for the 410s at the PAS after May 28 are off nights for Ventura or are motorcycles or something.

But I guess your glass is half empty HUH ROB

LOL Buzzard, all I'm saying I guess is that 410s are dying and I'm not happy about it,you would think that some of these other tracks would try to pick up a 410 show or two, how about some 410 open shows and screw USAC if you don't like there deal.I'll bt you could fill the stands,oh I forgot most of the powers that be don't much care about the front gate as long as they can get 15 classes through the back gate they're happy.

Looks like Naylor got tired of sending all that USAC dough bacl to Indiana, better to use the money for better payouts locally. 12 VRA midget shows! Just as he was very successful with the VRA sprints, we should see more midgets coming out to play.

Problem why promoters do not want to book the series is the purse. They get almost the same size crowd for a 360 show at a purse that is $4,000.00 - $7,000.00 cheaper. The small bump in the crowd does not justify the large bump in the purse. Can't blame them. Especially in these tough economic times.

Scott,

Im sure t4rob gets it.

I myself am a bit disappointed about no wagsdash or 410 Ventura race, those are dang good races.

Funny thing is though, everyone is worried about Naylor and his tire but I bet if he could put a 410 / 360 deal together with 40 cars a night inside 2 seasons. If everyone would quit bitchin about tire and muffler...

Everyone is crying for unity, seems like falling in line with the local powerhouse / houses... would be the way to go. Like it or not.

yes Buzzard and Scott I get it,its just a damn shame that the only promoter in SoCal that gives a rats ass about the 410s is Donny K.

All the more reason to support the PAS. If the stands are full, there will be more dates and cars in the future. I hope we are not watching the last of the true Sprinters this year.

Can you imagine how wonderful it would be if all of the 410's that are parked in a shop somewhere here in SoCal were to come out of retirement. Unfortunately the way it is right now, I think that the only way that would happen is if Perris announced that it was closing. We all remember how crowded it was for the last Turkey Night at Ascot. We as fans have to find a way to get more seats filled at Perris, short of kidnapping. We as sprint car fans need to also cut out the gripping when the PAS runs a companion show with the sprint cars. Those racers buy pit passes and bring fans also. And many of them aspire to drive a 410 sprint car. It would be a shame if the track closed before they realized their dreams due to our bullheadedness. To the Kazerians, would it be possible to run the VRA midgets as a companion show to the sprints? I think that your basic core group of sprint car fans are more tolerant if the companion classes are open wheel. I am thinking California lightning sprints, Dwarf Cars, NMRA TQ midgets, VRA midgets and wouldn't it be something to get the BCRA down here. More than a few of our 410 heroes started out in these classes. It would be a little like watching your local hometown baseball player work up from little league to the minors to the majors. Don't forget Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne, Dave Blaney among others all came from the little bullrings all across America. Thanx Lance for providing Me and all of other hardcore fans a place to rant. Yep....thats exactly what happened at Manzy. Weak crowds except for the Copper World and Western and the snoozer freight train World of Outlaws! Then for the last show it was full. So all those people can now say "I was there for the final show"....And my answer to them is if you had supported the place like it diserved....there wouldn't have been a final show!!!!!
