Tony Hunt has announced that he is reviving the Race for a Cause that had previously been a fixture on the winter racing calendar. The Race for a Cause will be held all day on Sunday December 19, at Race Place Motorsports in Sacramento. The USAC Western Classic Racing Series competitor meeting will be held at 3 p.m. that same day as well.
Qualifying runs will begin at 10 a.m. with the feature for the top-16 schedule for 7 p.m. Hot lap sessions are just $15 if you mention that it is for Race for a Cause.
Race for a Cause will be raising money for three charities: Make A Wish, Shane Hmiel Recovery Fund, and The Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation.
