IMIS, RPM Promoters Workshop and PRI see Golden State King of the West Sprints presence in preparation for next season

Orlando, Florida – December 10, 2010…With much of the short track community hovered around the Indianapolis, Indiana and Orlando, Florida areas over the last week and a half, the Golden State King of the West Sprint Car Series has also been in the thick of things attempting to drum up support for 2011.

Team members from the tour split up this past week on December 1-4 and attended both the RPM Promoters Workshop in Reno, Nevada and the International Motorsports Industry Show in Indy. The series also has a booth at the Performance Racing Industries Show in Orlando.

Many of the final touches have been put on the Golden State King of the West Sprints schedule for the upcoming year, which will be released soon.

“We had done a lot of work prior to the RPM Promoters Workshop, so during the actual event we really just fine tuned some things,” said operations manager George Hague. “It’s tough to make the best schedule possible, but we think it’s pretty good & we’ll release it after everything has been inked.”

Last week’s IMIS Show at the Indianapolis Convention Center, as well as the currently ongoing PRI Show in Orlando, has been spent walking the floors by series officials, while trying to gain support and contingency partners for the 2011 racing season.

“It’s been pretty successful so far and we have handed out a lot of packages to different companies at IMIS and PRI about coming on board next year,” commented director of communications Gary Thomas. “At the Indy Show we didn’t have a booth so that was primarily spent walking and talking to prospective sponsors, but here at PRI it’s been nice to have a central location and people have been coming by quite frequently.”

Thomas and videographer Dean Mills also recently appeared on the “Racin’ with DO” show at Kelly’s Pub in Speedway, Indiana and discussed some of the plans for next year, involving the TV side of things and more. Mills in fact, will be returning to California following the PRI Show to continue production work on the Golden State King of the West Sprint Car Series TV show.

“I’m excited to come back home and begin a new chapter of my life working with the Golden State King of the West Series,” Mills said. “I definitely enjoyed being on the Racin’ with DO show last week and talking about the series with GT, because I’ve attended that show a lot since I moved to Indy seven-years ago, and it was a nice way to finish off my last couple days around there.”

Once returning from PRI things will continue to be put together and firmed up with the series working hard towards 2011 and making sure the tour has its best season yet, as it heads into the 26th year of competition out west. Stay tuned to
