That was about the only way I could think of to tie the topic to a racing board.

That is one of the rare cases when you see a team go 1-16 on third downs and win. Props to that defense! As young as that team is, lookout in 2011 and 2012!

You should put that in a press release.

Offense actually played pretty well too putting up nearly 500 yards on that defense. I was surprised when I saw the third-down number after the game, and you're right that it's rare when a team wins with that statistic. The Sooners, though, proved pretty good at getting first downs on second down and at least one very big one on fourth down.

One difference between the Sooners and Steve Kinser. Kinser don't give me a heart attack when he is competing.

Total yardage was good indeed. However, during the course on the final part of the third and into the fourth quarters, I was wondering if having to settle for field goals in the red zone was going to come back and haunt us. Thanks to the defense, it didn't.

I just wish we had a better opponent to play than a 4 loss Connecticut team. Nice to see a smaller school get in the BCS game but its a no win situation for the Sooners. Win and people say we were supposed to. Lose and people say we arent what they thought we were. (AKA Boise and West Virginia games.) Would of much preferred to play the likeness of an Ohio State or similar quality team.

I would have liked to see us play LSU. Two 10-2 teams would play to see who would be the contender and who would be the pretender.

(there is a reference to that if you joggle your mind a bit)

No joggling needed. I recall very well. So well that the "pretender" got it handed to him pretty good! wink

Good one, David! The Mad Hatter would definitely provide some great sound bites, I'm sure, while chewing on some grass. lol! That would be a good matchup, too, and least it woudn't be in their backyard this time. UCONN getting in a BCS Bowl is a joke. But it is kinda funny seeing Nebbie have to go play Washington again. HA! It's all a bunch of BCS, tho. Smile Playoffs anyone???

Love the comparison, too, Kenny!

Voting no on the playoff. Love the value of college football's regular season.

Any guesses on who the new O Coordinator will be??

BTW , The Stills kid is something else , feel he could break all kinds of records IF he does not go to the No Fun League early.

Based on what I see publicly, I don't know why we need to hire an offensive coordinator. It appears that we have about 85,000 willing to do it for nothing. Smile

None of those attributes separate him from the crowd.
