Not starting a rumor. Just asking if anyone can counter or confirm the existing rumors of a sale?

What I'm hearing is that Tony Stewart is buying the place. Mark Kinser will take over as promoter. You can take that to the bank!

I'm not from the area and in fact have never been.

But, I would think, looking at a map that the residential area currently to the east of the grounds could migrate to the west, putting pressure on property values and the inevitable complaints about noise.

I'd say that within 25-30 years, it will have been consumed by urban sprawl....and that would be a shame.

If it did happen, I think the place would have a much better chance of winning future battles, how long into the future is anybody's guess, but winning future battles with city/county/township commissioners and state legislatures with Tony Stewart's as owner. Basically the star power of a big Nascar star carries a lot of weight IMHO. Tony might become a sort of God to dirt fans, on his way already. I cheer for guys in Nascar who support dirt racing, guys like Boyer, Labonte, Kahne, Stewart, etc.

Lawlessness and liberalism equals Hell. NY City,
Detroit, Seattle, Chicago, Minnepolis, etc. We saw it.
Burning hundreds of buildings, a thousand assaults and
dozens of murders. Getting worser and worser.

Morgan even had it for sale for years if the right deal came along, but no one could ever come to terms. Also, they want to sell it as a package deal with the park, not just the speedway. Odds have increased since the daughter has taken over. Rumblings have increased recently, as they do every winter. Serious crowd at the National Open this year to see the Posse spank the Outlaws 10 in a row, will see if she takes the money and runs. Never been any rumors of non-racing people being considered. So sounds like it will remain in good hands or better, either way.

I smell a rat. It was your third cousin's uncle's sister's grandpa that told me Tony was buying it.

I am from the area at williamsgrove and I have not heard anything on this issue so it more then likely just a rumor. I know they are already planning for the 2011 season.

I heard the Chinese are buying it!

They intend on giving the place a full make over using cheap and inferior imported products. Also they will run a control chassis!
