Craig Dollansky put in a dominant performance to be the top qualifier and take out the feature win in the 30 lap SprintCar Classic at Western Springs Saturday night. Local drivers Jamie McDonald and Dean Brindle completed the podium. Johnathon Allard set second quickest time in qualifying but failed to progress further than his first heat race. After tangling with a back marker Allard launched into the first turn fence taking out an upright and destroying the front of his chassis, tearing up pretty much everything from the firewall forward ending his night. Australian come American Peter Murphy qualified 3rd quickest but failed to make it through the first turn of his heat race before getting in the wall hard. His team repaired the car for the feature but he started well down the field and struggled to make an impact.

I hope him and Dj can keep it up for next year. I just might have to go to I-55 again if they do.
