There was 30 midgets last month at Ventura for a West Coast USAC or regional show.
I would guess at least 30 midgets to 40 midgets when you add the national guys, and northern CA guys.

TK said on his facebook page "pondering if i should take the wing off for Tulare USAC show this weekend?????" He got 40 responses so far saying yes! If anyone knows how to run and win at Tulare it's TK! He has the most a-main wins there of anyone. I really hope he does.

If you look at the web site for the las cruces speedway. They have both TK and Bud on the flyer as outlaws coming to there track 12th-13th of this month.
Kyle Larson also has a ride down there on his web site.
...guess we will see who stays and who goes in 5 days......

WHat car would TK run, he was fired or let go at Roth (as Roth is joining forces with Kasy Kahne with Paul McMann next year). Heard he could drive one of his dads cars.
On KKR racing website schedule, Brad Sweet is supposed to race at Tulare, Ventura and Irwindale (presumably in a Midget).

HE is in the Roth car till the end of the yr. He's racing the Roth car at Tucson for the Western Worlds, that's what his mom said on nor-cal site a little bit ago. So i'm assuming since that's the case, he would be in the Roth car for this race if he races it like he said on facebook.

that may be asking too much. If the midgets got more than 24 cars I would be surprised. With only one week in between this race and the 10k to win race at Ventura I think some will pick and choose.
But hopefully I will be surprised

I'm betting we'll have around 50 sprint cars and 30 midgets. Look at my lists above, many guys could do double-duty. No real conflicts for either division.
Only guys from last weekend at PAS that confirmed to me that they won't be at Tulare were:
Tony Jones (went through 3 chassis and 2 motors in one month)
David Cardey (no motor, no budget)
Ronnie Gardner (motor not togehter)
Kyle Larson (racing in New Mexico)
Shane Cottle (looking for a ride..none as of today)
Darren Hagen (injured at Oval Nationals)

Crossno could do worse if he went to Tulare and didn't put "The Throttle" Shane Cottle in the iTi #38 house car

Tim Kaeding announced on his facebook page this morning that he will be running Tulare on Saturday. He has a pic of the Roth car with no wing as a facebook picture(the one he ran and won at the first Louie Vermeil Claasic), so that should answer what car he will be in this weekend.

Cool News about Tim. He always spectacular one way or the other!
Other possible midget entries ???? not likely but could show up (sry if any duplicates from above)
(Cars at last USAC Western Race)
Troy Rutherford #87
Kenny Perkins
Mike Spencer/Rick Hendrix #12
Bruce Douglas
Victor Davis
Steve Stasa
Wink Schwitzer
Don Gansen
Mike English (#75 Miller car)
TJ Smith
Kenny Warren
Sean Dodenhoft
Cars from last BCRA Race
Jimmy Sills
Gregg Bragg
Shane Golobric
Keith Bloom
Dan Parker
Dillion Silverman
David Pricket
Floyd Avis
Pete Davis
JR Williams
Nick Foster Jr.
Roughly 60 potential drivers/cars we know could attend.
So to hope/expect over 30 cars is reasonable. And you never know you may get a couple of unexpected entries from Wisconsin (Bagder), AZ, CO, WA etc who come out for $10K at Ventura.
Some drivers use Ventura as a testing gauge for the chilli bowl too.
I thought Ventura would of had 20 cars last race, and was floored when 30 came out. So with 30 expected for Tulare, I would not be surprised to see 40-45 cars, but we'll know shortly won't we.
Pretty sure we will have 4 stacked heat races for both Midgets and Sprints. Bring warm clothes as last year I freezed with just the sprint car portion. There's gonna be lots of cars and racing at Tulare. Really bums me that Perris dropped the midgets for the last night racing. Instead of a packed house with race cars, the field might be pretty slim with just CRA especially if Tony, Cardey and Gardner are out of equipment. Anyone know what happend to Jimmy Crawford, I don't remember him missing too many CRA races this year.

Everyone seems to forget with most of the midgets from Ventura that they only run Ventura. Ive pondered this response a couple of times, but you guys seem to forget every time and list off an impressive field of Ventura drivers as possibles. I suppose you have a point they are possibles to show up but extremely unlikely.
Of that list of midgets I would be shocked if Douglass, Davis, Rutherford, Perkins, Stasa, Hendrix, English or the Camarillios showed up. Josh Ford is the one I would expect to make the haul, Rutherford would be the next most likely in my thinking.
I hope Tulare gets support from the BCRA and USAC regulars and have more than 25 cars.

Gee Buzz we can dream ca'nt we? Just to see TK run will be worth the trip! Tulare has become the best track out here in my opinion, maybe not for midgets, but for sprints, winged or nonwinged. Best shows I have seen this year were at Tulare and Handford. 20 or 24 midgets OK by me, but I expect more.

There were 21 midgets at Chowchilla 2 weeks ago for the BCRA race won by Brad Loyet. If we get most of those, a few national guys, the USAC-WS points chasers and a couple Ventura guys off the porch 25 or 30, midgets should be a distinct possibility. One can only hope... We'll find out in a few days.
