Gary Storey, a long time fixture at racing in Iowa and all around lost the battle with cancer last Thursday, 23rd. Gary won the race chasers title many times.
Funeral is this Wed. Will post the information later.

Funeral is in Albia Iowa on Wed 29th at 11 am-Winfield Funeral Home.

Sorry to hear this. I went to HS with Gary, always a friendly guy.
He loved sprints, but it didn't really matter to him what they were racin', if he could get there, he'd make it. I remember this ol' van he had. Nothing in it but a sleeping bag on the steel floor. That's how bad he wanted to go.
I went to a USAC sprint race once in Bloomington, Ind., early '80's. Who'd I run into but Gary. Didn't matter where I went, he was usually there too.

Gary was an awesome guy who really really loved racing and was great to talk with. He will be missed. RIP Gary
