It is said that every education is expensive and part of ours was knowing a man that liked to "Walk 'em down the path".Meaning that everyone is gullible and will respond to the right bullsh*t.But having known this man has made it a lot easier to identify when we are being led "down the path".
The current administration has led our entire country down the path and those that have been here before recognize it for what it is.It is no good to cry and moan over the predicament. What we need is some clear thinking to get us back to rationality.
Therefore those of us who are questioning this current administration have precedence in the war that brought us our freedom from England. Many lives have been given in the pursuit of that privilege----to speak our minds and fight for that right.
There are many things in this world that I do not know but please don't try to convince me that as a country that we are not pretty far "down the path".Fiscally AND morally. You bet I love being an American and hope and pray that we can maintain our way of life(as spoiled as we are).Bud's Bride

Bud's Bride, Very tue that we have been "Walked down that path.." A few years ago, my bride and I nearly lost everything to a greedhead insurance company and an ineffective state insurance department. We learned to fight like the very devil hisself. We met with politicians, bureaucrats, lawyers, judges and all their gatekeepers. We won, more or less, because we treat every encounter with authority like it was lap 25, 3-wide,down the backstretch.. This afternoon , I get to walk us back up the path a little, by going door-to- door in my precinct to get a great guy in our city's mayors office. He runs on a platform that states simply: The Buck Stops Here.
Never give up.....we really do have the power to change the direction we are heading. By the way, During three years of litigation, demolition, and rebuilding our home, living in arented shack with our two incredible daughters, we still found time to hit the Saturday night races.

My apologies to Maxine. I think I was inspired by No Dust's post on "Unhappy Americans" and probably should have tacked my comments on to that thread.Bud's Bride

Actually you do inspire us Duane. You remind us of the good things we do have, and to appreciate
our people in uniform, and for that I thank you.

I hope nobody thinks that I think the country is 100% OK, but it is the best country I have ever been in.
I have been to the Philippines, Guam, Wake Island,Tachakawa Japan, Viet Nam, Okinawa, and spent a year in Thailand.
I would like to visit those places again, but 1 or 2 days in each would be a big plenty.
We "Think" we have bad Government, but those folks many times DO have bad Government, society, and living conditions.
I know of nobody in America that lives in a cardboard box with their family.
I know a few homeless people, but most of the time there is a reason for that, which I won't even address.
I am thankful to be an American, and appreciate the Military for helping to keep most of the worlds problems on other countries soil.
