Thanks Dan for a great day, good food and interesting talk about what next year holds for all of us. We admire and respect you for taking this huge challenge on and are behind you 100%. Looking forward to next year and hopefully once the schedule is out Evan will be able to commit to being a contract driver.
Thanks again, it was fun finally getting to visit your ranch and shop and seeing the track and your horses.
Linda, John and Evan

As one of the track promoters I am excited to hear some of the things planned for the drivers and the tracks. I know my crowd looks forward to each GSC race I put on my schedule.

That comment derf was rude and totally uncalled for. Dan is a very astute business man and he will run Golden State like he runs his business, very successfully!

Agreed..and I'm sure derf can run a sprint car much better..right? Fact is promoting a series or a track is tough biz.. I'm sure he wants to do great things.. I respect him for what he is doing and, who he is..my dad was a promoter some called him the best thing to Australia sprint car racing others called him a crook..so I am sure we are going to hear some negativity to Dan Simpson's ability to promote a major series..but good luck to him and GSC cant wait for news and a schedule!!!!!!

Do you have the guts to step out from behind your "derf" and let the world know who you are!?
My dad always taught me, "if you can't say something good about someone, don't say anything at all."

Unbelievable derf,
I'll bet you have never even spoken to the man,
Dan Simpson is a very nice man and he's doing something a lot of us WISH we could do,
Living life to the fullest,
and I admire him for that.
Isn't that what we all want for ourselves? I do!
All of us should appreciate the fact that he cared enough to take on this challenge and save/grow 410 Sprint Car racing in California. He's taking a huge finiancial risk and when he's successful, I for one will applaude him when he starts making money on the venture,
Dan,
Thank You Good Sir,
Steve LaMothe

Dan has make quite a commitment that in order to succeed will take a lot of personal funding, something he does not have to do. He could go and enjoy his horses and fly around in his jet but he has chosen to dive into sprintcars.
My money's on Dan, especially since I've not seen anyone else reach for their wallet.

"Like all of you I will wait.
Sounds too good to be true!
Like Destiney running a full WoO schedule!
Is she even racing anymore?"
Your words right there. From the main hoseheads page circa July 2010. As often as you post though I wouldnt expect you to keep track of your jibber jabber.
Cheers!

If the GSC is to be successful, it has to do something about it racing format.
ideas...
invert 8 in the heats....
take the top 3...or 4 if only 3 heats
ditch the dash.
4 from the B... start 13th - 16th
17th- 20th owners points provisionals...
*back row challenge*
if you win your heat you can start at the back of the pack and earn double points and
double pay-out.....
NO waiting for cars...
See USAC-CRA racing rules...
Just some thoughts... from a live-long sprintcar fan..

My opinion is GSC is a good format for entertainment. They put on a show. The dash is for the fans. Sorry. Always 8? I like the luck of the draw type format myself.
GSC is heading in a great direction. I for one am gonna enjoy the ride!
