I thought they did a damn fine job. HD video quality was very good and good coverage overall -- they covered the work area during the red flag well and kept it interesting.

A very good shot of Sammy's tire blowing apart.
That was too bad.

I dont mind Ralph Shaheen, but Ken Stout does a great job. Whether its sprint cars, late models, tractor pulling etc he seems really knowkedgable. Some guys try to make it sound like they know what they are talking about but sound ignorant.

I'm going to have to disagree, yes it was shot beautifully, and the pit reporting was done well, but the rest left a lot to be desired. Stout does nothing for me, no real substance given, just a lot of of cliched statements "alphabet soup" etc Plus they could have explained the format of the race for those watching who aren't as familiar with it as most of us. And what was up with going to a commercial during the C and coming back with laps having been run. It wasn't live, why couldn't they have came back at the same time they left?

Poor editing??? They had plenty of time.

And as usual they decided to play with the @#!@# in-car camera during the last 2 laps.
If there ever really is a Fantasy Island, my fantasy will be that I'm a Dentist, and the inventor of the in-car camera comes in for an emergency root canal.

The camera work was really solid, HD was great. The announcing wasn't good, sounded canned. Glad I saw it live.

Sorry , I think coverage was TERRIBLE , GO TO KNOXVILLE , they don't know how to cover sprint car racing . You had to be there to understand how they covered it poorly

I am suprised to hear that a good percentage of you didn't care for Ralph, I always thought he was very knowledgable (for an outsider TV guy) and a very good pairing with Brad...? The other guy with Brad today is always pretty respectable, but seems out of his element with sprint cars. He was jabbering about something meaningless when Schaffer drove under Shitz for the lead coming off of 4 with 1 to go. I thought Brad should have just talked over him, as that was surley a rise to your feet moment for anyone watching that didn't know who won the race.

Gee, newbie...do you have to spoil it for those of us who live 2K miles away and can't afford the trip?
I thought it was great!
I've always thought Brad was the only one who made any comments worth while on their TV shows.

I like Ralph, and would like to see Bobby Gerrould back. He knows more about sprint car racing than any of the announcers but Doty.

I agree im glad i was there TV did no justice but was a nice thing for the people that live 2K miles away

Please NO RALPH!!! I've never seen a TV program hosted by Ralph where he didn't practacally SLEEP with Danny the Duchebag Lasuckski. Hell, I've seen him cover Motocross, and STILL somehow bring up the Duche's Name! I get tired of hearing about the Duche or TSR by Ralph all the time. I agree that the new guy is monotone, but at least he ain't RS. I think they need to just let Doty do the whole thing. Hell, Wayne Johnson has been doing better lately at commentary than Sheheen ever has.

Bye bye, Hardhat!

I don't like Ralphie because one year when it was actually live when the broadcast started the D Feature was still in progress. Shaheen acted like commenting on the D Feature was beneath him.
