Faria went off the track in turn two, around the scoreboard and back onto the track twice in the second heat... and, as usual, came roaring through the field again in the main.

Murphy drove identical Buster & Ziggy #11s in both the wing and non-wing shows (two different cars). It looked to me like T. J. banged against his left front in turn one/two on lap four of the main to knock him out for the evening. Peter was nipped at the line for second/third place in the wing feature.

The track required plenty of work through the night, but appeared to run really nicely most of the time. Tarlton went on his usual tear in the wing feature, winning by more than half a lap.

I had a great time! The entire staff at Kings is top-shelf in my book. They lost the track early, and then they worked their tails off to get it back. I understand that Steve Faria is handling the track prep?

The Winged cars were getting around there wickedly fast! I can see the car counts eventually rising in this class. The Non-Wing show had some torrid battles going on throughout the field, too.

A great crowd was on hand and I see nothing but sunshine out on the horizon for the speedway. A tip of the hat goes to Scott Woodhouse, Don Chambers and the entire staff at Giant Chevrolet Speedway.

Respectfully,

Gary

that is a pretty bold assumption saying that tj did that intentionally to take pete out for the night. please get both sides of the story before making assumptions about wat happened

thank you

I agree 110%. Saturday night was only my second time at Kings this year, but was impressed both times, LOTS of improvements. I don't know if Steve Faria is prepping the track or not, but did you notice that 2 of Tulare's push/fire/service/whatever you want to call them trucks were there, plus the big John Deere tractor that pulls that round farm implement (sorry, I don't know what it is really called) they work the track with?

My partner Don Chambers does our track and does a great job. We have had smooth tracks all season. We brought in Steve for this race to help figure out a little issue we were having and he helped us out as we are all friends.

We use a "Rotary harrow" (round circle thing) and Netto Ag and Ribeiro Farms loan us tractors for track prep. Couldn't do it without them!

Thanks to everyone that came out for the weekend and we will see you in a few weeks!!!
