I too want to say thanks to everyone, i was part of the 6 man group that came from UK to Knoxville for our first trip, i think i can safely say it wont be the last visit! We flew from Manchester UK to Chicago on the saturday morning, 8.5 hours flight, drove from Chicago straight to Knoxville for the 360 nationals, made it in good time! By the time we got to our hotel in Des Moines we had a 27 hour day, but well worth it! The heat and humidity was something else, so were the storms! We don't have them like that in UK! Osky was fantastic, hats off to the promotion, a fun race night that other promoters should learn from, 10 out of 10 to the Mcarl's (was hot in the grandstand tho!). What can you say about the Nationals, the atmosphere, the racing, the people, fantastic. As Ben has said, we also experienced Udders, Taso's, Rotary club pie and ice cream, NSCHOF, Dingus etc etc. We did our bit for the struggling US economy by buying plenty of Tshirts and other merchandise.
What a great time. I have been to TX, FL, PA, MD, NC, NV, watching sprint cars, but the Nationals week wins. You guy's in the USA just don't realise how good you got it, next time you feel down, hard done by, or fed up, just think about us poor guy's in the UK with no sprint cars to watch!
Thanks to everyone we met, old and new, we will remember the 50th Nationals for a long time, pretty sure we will be back soon.

I feel for you guys, in my opinion Formula one is usually rather boring, rally car looks like it could be fun, but you guys are some of the few outside of north america and down under that can really understand the shear joy of having a little dirt in your beer. Glad you had a good time and if you can come back and bring more friends. I can only imagine how many people will be asking you (whats that on your t-shirt)???

Now you just need to make a trip to the Gold Cup in Chico, California. Its been going longer than even the Knoxville Nationals and it is one HELL of a good time! This year marks the 57th Gold Cup race of champions.

Dude - make the trip to 'Stoga. You won't be disappointed. With the addition of the beer tasting on Sunday it really is quickly becoming one of the top "can't miss" events of the year. Two great nights of non-winged racing, wine tasting on Saturday, and beer tasting on Sunday. All in beautiful Calistoga. We'll be there Friday evening so please make sure you get ahold of me somehow if you can make it.
