i heard an announcer say madsen would get 24th place points for the main because he blew a motor and didn't have time to change it. i have always thought you had to take the green to get scored for a race. if he doesn't take the green, how can he get any points for it?
to indy and beyond!!

There's no alternates so he gets scored 24th regardless.

Cars in the B main earn points except for the transfer cars....They get points only in the A main so he would have still earned at least last place points for the A Main.

Just for the record
Dumensy are from Nelson in Sydney West
Jeffery Brothers grew in Five Dock in Sydney Inner West
Masdens from Sydneys Far West at St Marys
And Both Joe Masden and Carl Jeffery (Fathers were very good Sedan Drivers)
